This is an unofficial list of items that I find
make the job a little easier. This list
does not include the obvious tools like
the rotary
cutter, etc. Let me know if you have tried any or
if you wish to add something and
why you find it handy.
| Triangulations™ 2.0
by Bear Paw Productions. For half square triangles
and quarter square triangles. Great for
big jobs. Makes them perfect every time. |
|
| Thangles™ for half square triangles.
Great for small jobs and perfect HST. |
|
| Mary Ellen’s Best Press – the
clear starch alternative. This is fabulous, especially
used before cutting and piecing with flimsy fabric
or bias edges. |
|
| The
Angler 2 by Pam Bono Designs. Fits on your sewing
machine and provides sewing guides. |
|
| Magnifying
reading glasses – lets you get closer to
your work when your arms are not long enough
anymore. This is just before you actually require
a prescription. |
|
| Magnet
bowl designed perfectly for quilting pins (originally
used for small auto parts) |
|
| Chinese
food paper Take Out bags (not the fancy little
boxes). Those heavy paper bags taped to the
side of your cutting table are convenient garbage
bags for all those little scraps of fabric and
threads. I also have one at my machine table,
too. |
