Note: fabric is calculated using our HST paper but in all tested techniques this gave more.
So if you use a different technique to make your HSTs you should have enough with extra fabric leftover
- not bad & more for your stash!

BLOCKS: 
The Friendship Block Yes, there is ONLY 1 block for this quilt.
Yes, you will be making the same block over and over and over but using different fabric for each block (except background)
The Colour: 1 fabric colour or pattern per block. See block instructions for amount of fabric for cutting.Unless you choose to change this up and do your own thing - perfectly fine & wonderful!

DOUBLE size (84" x 84"): 
You will stitch 2 blocks/week +1 to make 41.
Background fabric for all as designed: 5.8m or 6-3/8 yds.
(this includes background for all blocks, setting, borders & binding)
Inside Border (pop of colour): 0.5m or 5/8 yd.

QUEEN size (100" x 100"): 
You will stitch 3 blocks/week +1 to make 61.
Background fabric for all as designed: 7.8m or 8-5/8 yds.
(this includes all blocks, setting, borders & binding)
Inside border (pop of colour): 0.5m or 5/8 yd.

KING size (114" x 114"):
You will stitch 4 blocks/week+5 to make 85.
Background fabric for all as designed: 9.8m or 10-3/4 yds.
(this includes all blocks, setting, borders & binding)
Inside border (pop of colour): 0.6m or 2/3 yd.

Yes, this is alot of fabric, but there is ALOT of piecing, ALOT of seams and ALOT of background fabric.
These requirements are for using the same background throughout as designed.
If you do choose to change it up, I don't know how much you will need.
